The millenial art and the reality of each time and place have their own regulations. The eternal icons versus the goings of the real life. Possible targets: the permanence of art and the transitory of historic present, beauty, violence, identity, the role of artist in society, commitment, indifference, etc.

"Art Zone" was performed in the "Weekend of the Action", organized by the French Alliance and the Art Contemporary Foundation, Montevideo, Uruguay, July 23, 1999. The artist goes to the ZONE while Gymnopédies of Erik Satie is heard. The artist is provided like the Leonardo da Vinci's icon in the Art Zone. Finally, the artist will move back and leave to spectators listening fragments of Un Coup de Des... by Mallarmé. Upon cocluding the verses, a siren of police and some shootings are listened. Under the compass of FREEDOM of Rage Against The Machine, the being crawls toward the ZONE. Then of some seconds of silence, confronts to the worldly art with the hard reality of every days.... Could ART help him to support a life of needs, without horizons...? Once more, the "target" collect his victim... Finally, the transgressor, harassed by the system, die gripping the flower between his fingers.
